Obit. From Putnam County Courier, Carmel, NY, Friday, 4 Dec. 1931. "Edward L.
Ferris died last Saturday, November 28, 1931. He was the son of the late
Alonzo D. and Hester Barrett Ferris, and was age 61. Surviving are sister Mrs.
William Robinson, and one brother Orville Ferris of Chatham. Funeral was
Tuesday with burial in the Halstead Cemetery."
