Walter Law Clearwater is son of Nelson Deyo Clearwater and Inez Freer.

Note: !Before entering service, worked with the N.Y. Central R.R. about six months in
the mail and baggage division. He served with the Navy during World War II for
three years in the Pacific as a shipfitter. He then completed his
apprenticeship in plumbing and heating, in Yorktown, N.Y. Later, he was
employed by I.B.M. for 35 years in this and administrative work. As a family,
they resided in Shurb Oak, later Wappingers Falls. They have camped
extensively throughout the U.S. and other countries; enjoyed boating and
water-skiing at Candlewood Lake, Conn; gardening, travel, reading, knitting,
swimming and music.
Note: !Katherine graduated from Peekskill High School and married Roger in 1946. She's a direct descendant of the Mayflower's Stephen Hopkins, daughter of Frank Styles Lent and Ruth Hopkins.
Note: !Susan Clearwater earned her Masters Degree in Elementary Education at Oneonta,
with high honors. She is employed at the Kent School (elementary) in Carmel, a
Methodist, has lived in Shrub Oak, Wappingers Falls, Carmel, Fishkill, Oneonta.
Note: !Son of Stanley John Levandowski, Sr. and Josephine Anne Guarino. He is a college instructor, in business. He was married previously to Catherine Ruscitti. He has lived in Middletown, Beacon, Fishkill, served two years in active military, two in reserves, then two more in active service.
Note: !Beverly Ruth Clearwater earned her L.P.N. degree at Albany. She was on the staff at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson for 20 years. Presently (1994), she's employed at a nursing home in Pawling.

Dutchess Community College with an Ecology degree. He worked several years on
the Hudson River with fish sampling, analyzing and propagation. Presently, he's
employed with the U. S. Postal Service in Newburg. He is an ardent outdoor
sportsman.
FISCHER-CLEARWATER. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Fischer, Highland, announce
the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Lynn, to Roger Dennis Clearwater,
Gardiner. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Clearwater, Wappingers Falls.
Miss Fischer is a graduate of Highland High School and is pursuing her nursing
degree at Ulster County Community College. Mr. Clearwater is a graduate of Roy
C. Ketcham High School and attended Dutchess Community College. He is employed
by the U.S. Postal Service. A September 1994 wedding is planned.
Stephanie's mother is Sharon (McKibbin) Fischer.

Note: !OBITUARY: May (sic) Barrett, a former area school teacher and long-time area
resident, died Sept. 20 at Merritt Hospital in Oakland, Calif. She was 76.
Born May 2, 1907, in White Plains, Mrs. Barrett lived in the Yorktown area for
more than 70 years before moving to California two years ago. She retired in
1972 as an elementary school teacher in the Lakeland School District. She had
previously taught in the Mahopac school system. She was the wife of the late
Wallace Barrett, who died in 1969. She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Mickel
of California; three sisters, Peggy Wood and Helen Cary of Connecticut, Eileen
Ward of Saratoga Springs, NY, and one brother, Jim Miller of Plattsburgh, NY.
Visiting hours will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Clark Funeral Home in
Yorktown Heights. A funeral mass will be said at 10 AM Saturday at St.
Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak. Burial will be at Assumption
Cemetery.
Mary Miller was the daughter of Bernard Miller of Mahopac and Mary Ann Downey
from Ireland.
