Marriage: from Putnam County Courier, Fri., March 5, 1920: PATTERSON
INTERESTED IN WEDDING. S. B. Osborn, of Pawling, and Miss Blanche Lutz Wed on
Sunday. The pleasant home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lutz was the scene of a pretty
wedding on Sunday, February 29, when their oldest daughter, Blanche, was united
in marriage to Solomon B. Osborn, of Pawling. The ceremony was performed at
one o'clock by the bride's pastor, Rev. Henry F. Watts, in the presence of the
near relatives of the bride and groom. The bride was even more attractive than
usual in a charming gown of morocco-brown crepe de chine, handsomely
embroidered, and was attended by her sister, Miss Ruth Lutz. The groom was
assited by his brother, William Osborn, of Baltimore. After congratulations a
delicious luncheon was served and the happy couple rode to Pawling in a sleigh
appropriately decorated with old shoes, streamers, etc. From there they took
the 4:14 train amid showers of rice. They will go directly to annapolis, Md.,
where they will commence housekeeping at 27 Second Street. Since his return
from France, the groom has been employed at Camp Meade, Baltimore, as an expert
mechanic on airplane motors. The happy couple have the best wishes of a large
circle of friends for their future happiness and success. Among those present
at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. James P. Osborn, of Pawling, parents of the
groom; Knowlton Ganung, of Newburgh, and Mr. and Mrs. Smith Ganung, of
Pawling."
