She gave no marriage date or places for anything, but they were of Lake

Bernice Heady Gottwald: "I remember Lester well, and was at Grandma Heady's
house the day he brought Thelma to call. Grandma introduced her as 'Lester's
intended', at which Thelma blushed beet red. She was a no-nonsense lady and
wore her hair in a bun, no make-up. Blushed at the drop of a hat. My mother
Blanche Mead Heady was a favorite of Grandma Heady, I am told by Aunt Hazel
Heady. After mother's divorce from my father, George, some of the family were
most disapproving, and one was Thelma Tompkins, wife of Lester. At a chance
meeting at some gathering or another, Mother greeted Thelma "Hello, Thelma,
how are you?" This met with a stony silence from the lady, at which Mother
commented, "Not so good, I guess."

the hill on Cherry St., Katonah and went into the Muscoot Reservoir. I still
