Obit: from Putnam County Courier. SOLOMON B. HEADY: Solomon B. Heady, 87, of
Rte. 124, Brewster, husband of Hazel Bailey Heady, died 27 Aug. at Putnam
Hospital Center, Carmel, after a long illness. Mr. Heady was born 7 Feb. 1895
in Baldwin Place, son of the late Walter J. and Sarah Elizabeth Barrett Heady.
Mr. Heady lived in Kent Cliffs for a number of years, and purchased the Biley
Homestead on Rte. 124 in 1937, where he was a self-employed farmer until his
retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Brewster. Besides
his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Allen B. Heady, Pawling; Leon L. Heady and
Walter O. Heady, both of Brewster; 9 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service took place in Halstead Union Cemetery, Kent Cliffs, with
the Rev. John Davies officiating.

1884, Petition to adm. estate of Laban Barrett: Lucinda McDonald of Kent
was executrix. Laban left her the use of his farm, together with the stock,
farming utensils and all Laban's personal property for five years. After five
years, the farm and personal property should be sold, and the proceeds of the
sale divided between his children, except the household furniture, most of
which already belongs to daughter Lucinda McDonald and granddaughter Louisa
Barrett.
Her Death certificate names parents Laban Barrett and Delila Barrett. She died
of hepatitis, probably cancer; contributory asthmatic. Certificate is faded.
According to Bernice Heady Gottwald, who viewed her tombstone on 20 Oct 1994,
Lucinda's stone had pitched forward down the hillside and tumbled from its
base.

Elijah of T. of Kent. He inherited one pair of oxen or stags, now on the farm.
According to Certificate of Death, NYS, Elijah was 58 years old at death on
28 Oct 1890 in East Fishkill. He was b. in Kent, Putnam Co., son of Laban (b.
Kent) and Delilah. He was a farmer, died of apoplexy, no contributory causes
or post mortem held. Dr. W. J. Conklin, buried in Boyds on Oct. 19, 1890,
undertaker (H. B. Rosa?). Also Fishkill Town Hall Records.

of members and their standing as of 18 Oct. 1843, "Assenth Barrett - letter of
dismission 20 Oct. 1838." Later, "#64 Sena Barrett, dismist by letter 20 Oct.
1838." Tombstone and census returns mistranscribed "Sena" as "Lena". 1850
Census, age 16, school, living with parents in T. of Kent. 1860 Census, a
domestic, #119-120, 24 yrs. old, living with Harmon and Julia Cole family. Her
tombstone has "Sena daughter of Labon and Delila died Jan 21, 1863 27 years 9
months 10 days", according to Bernice Heady Gottwald who viewed it 20 Oct 1994.
