Barrett, Peter (b. ABT 1772, d. 20 JUN 1827)

Note: !Louanne Barrett indicates b. 1765/1774.
Executor of father's will, T. of Fredericks, 1809. Apparently the oldest
son. He was to care for his mother and to inherit her third of the property
after her death.
His land, adjacent to our Isaac in 1829, was consistently called "land of
Peter Barrett's heirs". It would have included his mother's 1/3, as well as his
own larger portion.
Minnie L. Barrett's son, Vernon Barrett, in the 1860s said that his
grandfather Peter (who married Sarah) was Laban Barrett's brother. We know that
is not true, but if Laban lived next door to Peter Barrett's heirs, he could
have helped to raise Vincent (also Vernon's ancestor) and Solomon, who would
have been Laban's cousins.

1 female 6-26 (daughter); 1 female 26-45 (wife Mary); 1 female 45 & up
(his mother Sarah).

Vincent Barrett of the Town of Carmel signed his will 09 Jun 1862. He
mentions his wife Sarah Ann and eight children (4). He died aged 49-2-26. Boyd
K. Barrett petitioned the Surrogate Court on 20 Aug 1862 representing that
Vincent Barrett, a resident of Carmel, died 16 Jul 1862 in Carmel, leaving a
will. Vincent's widow was Sarah Ann of Carmel. The eight children listed in
the petition are in this record (3). Gustey and Sarah Margaret are found in the
census records.
