Barrett, Frederick (b. 24 AUG 1782, d. 17 FEB 1857)

Note: !Frederick Barrett was born on Broad Brook Road and lived in Bedford until the
close of his life. A deed in White Plains records from Samuel Barrett to
Frederick Barrett on 12 Apr 1824 for $1800.00 a farm in the Town of Bedford,
Suckabone Bridge, east, Sawmill Pond to Stephen Holmes house, to highway
leading from Abraham Barrett's to Bedford Court House. Sealed by Joseph
Barrett and Samuel Higgins, recorded 18 May 1824. He was on the 1837 Bedford
Assessment List as owning 100 acres worth $2700.00 with a personal estate worth
$2492.00. He was a farmer aged 55 years. He was in the War of 1812, a Whig
and then a Republican, a Presbyterian. He died aged 75/6/7.
