Barrett, Ione Parker (b. 10 JAN 1906, d. 13 MAY 1984)
Note: !Ione Parker Barrett and Donald were twins known as Jack & Jill. She was
educated in White Plains, Katonah High School, Miss Fullers School in Ossining
(1924), Connecticut College for Women, New London, Cornell University (1928),
and New York Law School (1932). She was admitted to the Bar on 15 Feb 1935.
She was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army W.A.C.s from August 1942 to January 1945.
She practiced law and opened her own law practice in Katonah. She resided White
Plains, Katonah, Scarsdale, Mount Kisco, Cleveland, Ohio, Katonah, and Heritage
Village, Southbury, CT. She married Tom Jarvis at the Bertine Home on Northern
Ave. in Bronxville. They divorced 28 Feb 1956. She is buried in Plot 138 at
Bedford Union.

Webster E. Jansen, 77 years old, a retired piano manufacturer, died
yesterday at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY., where he lived.
He was the retired president of the Janssen Piano Company, which in 1965 was
merged into C. G. Conn, Chicago piano makers. He was also a former president
and trustee of the National Piano Manufacturers Association and a trustee of
the American Music Conference.
Mr. Janssen entered the family business after World War I in which he served
as a naval aviator.
He leaves his wife, the former Dorothy B. Bertine, two sons, Webster E. and
Bennett, a daughter, Nancy Fletcher, a stepson, Peter Pertine, a stepdaughter,
Margaret Nemeth, and 11 grandchildren.

Commissioner of the Town of Bedford, President of the Katonah Board of

estate businessman in White Plains. He was Katonah Fire Chief 1903 and 1904
and on the Board of Directors 1905 until 1920. He was interested in civic
enterprises, Y.M.C.A., Lions Club and Register of the County of Westchester.
William Barrett and Ella Maude Williams were married in the Old Katonah
Presbyterian Church. Burial plot 181.

William Barrett lived in White Plains with his family. Around the
Depression, Will had come along to kind of hard times. He had an old
automobile and he tried to sell real estate, and this and that, but I don't
think any of it turned out very well. It was kind of a trajic thing.

William Barrett suffered depression, possibly because of the failure of the
stock market, and shot himself to death.
